Behind the Scenes

This is the scene set-up: I had invited my younger sister to eat after she got off of work. I was meeting my new friend (read previous posts) and she would be joining us. What was not behind the scenes: everybody was a little bit nervous. I found out the following later.

Younger sister goes into bathroom and calls two other siblings to let them know she's about to eat with me and my friend. Younger sister cannot get a hold of older sister so she leaves a message saying she must be called back because it's a semi-emergency. Younger sister and younger brother devise a code so that younger brother can get information about my friend. Younger brother would call and ask younger sister how food was. Depending on what younger sister thought of my friend, answers could range from really good to really bad.

The phone call happens. I know that my brother is on the phone. However, I don't know the code nor do I know of the previous conversation on the phone. Younger brother asks younger sister how the food is. Younger sister is laughing so she begins to choke. She says, "I'm choking on my food." Younger brother (in a panic) asks, "What does that mean?"

Really people, everybody needs to just calm down!
