Sunday ramblings
Today's worship went well. Here's the order of worship that we followed:
Bless the Name of Jesus
Blessed Be Your Name
You're the One
Welcome/Prayer
He Is Wonderful
You Are Holy
Jeremiah 9:23-24
Great Is the Lord
Be with Me, Lord
Sweet Will of God
"Who Holds the Power?"
There's a Stirring
Why Did My Savior Come to Earth?
Communion
Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross
Make Me More Free
Prayer
Several phrases from the songs we sang stood out to me as we worshipped this morning. From "Be With Me, Lord" the following words hit me hard:
Be with me Lord, when loneliness o'er-takes me,
When I must weep amid the fires of pain,
And when shall come the hour of "my departure"
For "worlds unknown," O Lord, be with me then.
I have been struggling with loneliness lately. This song reminded me where to take that loneliness.
From "Sweet Will of God" I loved the following words:
Sweet will of God, still fold me closer
Till I am wholly lost in Thee
Can you imagine that? To be "wholly lost" in God! What would that be like? The image that brings to my mind is something I long for - being enveloped by His presence.
Our minister also reminded us of how God is in control always, although we sometimes think we are the rulers of our lives. Overall, I came away from worship thinking about a lot of different things and praising God for being in control.
On a very different note, I cleaned my bathroom tonight. Can you guess how long it had been since I cleaned my tub? It would gross most people out. Anyway, all I have to say is that it is now white again...and I really must hate studying because I cleaned instead of reading. It's time for me to be done with school.
Thanks for reading.

Yet another Sunday that I miss and you've picked my favorie songs. Hopefully you'll repeat soon. :)
I was cracking up at your transition. Great thoughts about Sunday...then on to the bathtub. Both are important, though! :)
