Two questions
1. If you knew that you were going to die soon (let's say in a month), what would you do - how would your life change?
2. If you knew that Jesus was coming soon (let's say in a month), what would you do - how would your life change?
For me, I think the answers to those two questions ought to be similar, right? Yet the first one leads me to answers that fulfill my earthly wishes and desires while the second leads me to answers that have me living a "more Christian" life. The first question leads me to want to do things that are fun, try new experiences, and live life to the fullest. The second question leads me to be a better servant, a more devout Christian, a more faithful follower. The former is selfish; the latter is selfless. The former is fun; the latter seems (going to be brutally honest) boring. Are there some of y'all out there that answer the above two questions the same? What do you think? Answers - any comments, please - how do y'all deal with this?
Thanks for reading (and answering).

Great Blog, Mario! Although not the point of your post, I think the biggest thing that would change for me if either were the case would be my perspective on what I do. I wouldn't necessarily change anything, but I would laugh for, and recognize ultimatly that nothing I did was as important as I acted like it was.
Mario,
I find that these two questions are on my mind now that I am older or old as the case may be. These two questions come to mind several times a day. At times I seem to obsess over them. I suppose that I would try to say "I am sorry" more often. Something that I am trying to practice at this stage of life. I am asking for forgiveness more and I am trying to make amends to anyone I have wronged in my life. Restoring, redeeming and renewing broken relationships. I want to get right with others and God.
Hey Mario, I just tried to respond to your e-mail but it was bounced back to me. Hmm...
Found your blog via Jason Isbell's blog. Hope you don't mind me writing you in this way. Any ideas about why my response was rejected?
Briefly, thanks for your e-mail. It's notes like your's and prayers like your's that help keep our heads above water. Thank you for that.
